Art Textile Course - Live @ No 4

Service Description

After running this Art Textile group on Zoom we are going to be Live & Kicking @ No 4 West Mersea on every other Tuesday Mornings 10-12.30. The workshops will be 8 sessions, twice a month, from Tuesday 7th Feb - Tuesday May 16th. I first ran this course in 2021 during lockdown on Zoom. You will discover creative approaches to creating abstract contemporary textile pieces inspired by Nature. Using a photograph taken on your digital device and enlarged so you can ‘zoom’ right in on an interesting area of detail. We will then transfer the design to fabric and explore a range of contemporary Applique, embellishment and 3D construct & Raised Stitch Techniques to create an artwork in an embroidery hoop. My approach is to encourage participants to work experimentally within the taught processes, to develop a more personalised, rather than prescriptive outcome. (A full workshop list will be supplied on booking) This is at a special introductory offer of £160 for 8 sessions.

Cancelation Policy

Booking Terms All workshops require payment in full upfront in order to confirm your place. In the event of a cancellation, payments are non refundable because of the planning, supplies ordered and lost revenue. Please let me know in plenty of time if you need to cancel your space. In the unlikely event that I have to cancel or postpone a workshop, or if I am unable to fill the required numbers to run the workshop, we will happily refund the money and give as much notice as possible. In these circumstances we cannot accept responsibility for extra costs or expenses incurred by yourself. Any items made at the Studio are intended for personal use and not for commercial use.
